(More customer reviews)I ordered this parka because I'm always looking for ways to keep warm during winter and have gotten tired of the puffy look of most winter jackets. The jacket is every bit as cute as it looks, and I love the bright color. Last night I was outside in a New England snow storm and wore this while scraping snow off the car and clearing the front steps. I felt warm the whole time, although - full disclosure - I had warm layers underneath as well. Even though it's a bit pricy, I love this parka.

Three phone calls to get my money back (including shipping). Good service from the sellers' and Amazon operators but very frustrating experience. I hope Amazon has remedied this.

(More customer reviews)This jacket was given to me as a gift and I love it. I was looking for an in-between jacket that I could wear in the different seasons and elevations in Arizona. I found that this jacket performed well and kept me warm at higher elevations when the outside temperatures were around 26 degrees. Equally at 50 degrees I was not too warm. Overall a great jacket and true to the carhartt reputation.

Womens PEA Coat - Black Review

(More customer reviews)I had relatively high hopes about this Pea Coat when I ordered it based on the reviews
but unfortunately I was very disappointed. This jacket should have been too big in size for me and it is in some places, but the shoulder and sleeve size is disproportionate to the rest of the jacket. The sleeves are VERY narrow and quite uncomfortable. The whole
jacket seems to be off balance. The upper section of the jacket seems very small and the bottom seems much larger than it should be relative to the top section. I am an average
size person, average weight and proportions. When I tried the jacket on and stretched my
arms out a small bit to see where the sleeves hit my wrists (they were too long by the
way) I actually heard something inside the coat rip. I am assuming the lining, though in
my eventual frustration I didn't bother to check after I threw it in my closet.
While trying it on I noticed massive amounts of black fibers all over me, the floor,
my bed where I had laid the coat to unbutton it and even my dog who was standing by me watching the whole episode quite comically. I have tried everything I know to get the
fibers on the coat "calmed down" but it has been to no avail. So now, rather than fibers
falling off the coat I have gobs of fibers falling off of it. I came back to Amazon to
find out how to return it but don't see that option so I decided to write this review
since I guess in the end I spent $70 plus for basically nothing.

Overall the cut of the coat is nice and stylish the stitching and quality seem to be above par. Seems pretty solid and is very, very light.

The fill is above par for most if not all of the down coats I've looked at in the $250 to $350 range and the hood is very large and accommodating. Also there are many nice pockets most fleece lined within the interior. Very nice and large flap behind zipper to keep cold from coming through.
There is a grid like pattern over the whole coat that isn't seen from available pictures. It has rip stop utilitarian purpose I guess but looks kind of techy.
Also on a $330 (it's $30 cheaper if you order from Taiga ??) coat from a manufacturer that boasts such Canadian quality and German engineering you'd think they would have a better warranty and return policy. Return it in 10 days or it's yours forever. And you pay shipping (both ways if you return) which is around $26 since it's in Canada.
If you got the money and want a technical coat that will probably last you for the next 10 years it seems worth it. But if you think the grid pattern will cramp your style maybe look elsewhere. If you order straight from Taiga the customer service was VERY good.
