I use mass transit to get to and from work and the benches are metal which makes for a very cold seat while waiting for connecting buses. This coat has kept me warm in cold windy mornings, I would say to anyone looking for a longer coat for winter to try this one the cut is flattering and it is comfortable.

I usually wear a size 6 (am slim and don't want excess girth in a coat) but have long arms. The shape of this coat is feminine and ideal for me. Underneath, there is room for a sweater or blazer, and it seems comfortable enough to drive in. I purchased a black coat like this in England over seven years ago and that one is still going strong. This one in alabaster will be my "glorious day" version.

(More customer reviews)I bought this coat at Macys last year thinking, "Gee, a coat that starts out at $200.00 MUST be quality made." The FIRST time I wore it, one of the 'toggles' fell off. Since there were no extras attached to the coat I had to move one from the sleeve to the front. I had to replace the sleeve toggles at that point with something from Michals that was actually something for jewelry but it was all I could find that would work. Yes I looked for other toggles at fabric stores but had no success. Then the 2ND time I wore it as I was taking it off TWO MORE FELL OFF!!! I have contacted the company and am waiting to see what they will do for me. I am not a large person, I am not rough on clothes. The bottom line is the toggles suck as buttons and they do NOT stay on. I would not have given it any stars but you have to give at least one apparently.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this in 2009 for my now 12 year old. She is about 5'2'' and has a very petite frame...all legs ; ) She has fit beautifully in the size Small for the past 2 winters. Texas winters aren't the most brutal but when it gets down to the 20's and the wind and icy rain is chasing us around, she always says this jacket keeps her nice and warm and isn't bulky. She calls it her "Lady Gaga" jacket because of the grommets, frey to black fade, and fur.
