I have the arctic quilt coat, keeps me very warm and comfortable for New England winters
I have the chore coat with the blanket lining, use it for fall, early winter, again keeps me warm, very roomy, can layer
I wear these coats according to weather, like all carhartt products I know they will last me a good while. I tell everyone who is looking for a good winter coat, to look at Carhartt, the coats are not very expensive, well made, all reviews I've seen have been positive. Columbia, North Face, Patagonia you pay an arm and a leg! I feel Carhartt charges a fair price.

this coat is very nice, I like the sherpa lining, I feel it's a jacket that I can wear in the go between if I don't want the heavier Arctic coat, and want something just a tad warmer than the chore coat. I've seen on many websites and Amazon can get this in a variety of colors. I felt this coat seemed a bit longer than the Carhartt J22 sandstone traditional jacket, which is good, but felt for a medium it seemed short on me and the Large felt a little too bulky. I came across this one the J164 in medium, felt like the right length where I can raise my arms fully and not feel any belly sticking out or feel like it pulls my t shirt up. That is why I went with this type. and it is roomy enough to layer with a hoodie or heavy sweat shirt, where you do not feel restrained. Only draw back, with some of the other type of coats, they have chest pockets, I miss that feature on this one but do have deep side pockets and two interior pockets.
Like I've said carhartt-- can wear these coats for outdoor chores, or around town. If you're like me you probably own two carhartt coats maybe 3.... if you want to stay warm, dry, I've said it before on my other 2 reviews, Buy Carhartt!

Can dress it up or down. The material is soft, not so stiff, but still holds its shape. I am 6'2" and the large fits me well. The sleeves are a perfect length.

The fur on the front is buttoned on so if you feel like its just too fuzzy you can remove it without damaging the coat or how nice it looks on. I followed the sellers instructions of buying 1 size up and it is a perfect fit. I usually wear a size small so I bought a medium in the hopes I could wear a sweatshirt under it, and it works! Im totally happy with this purchase and I am a normal sized person. :)
